Design is in my veins
Before I knew the term graphic design, I was involved in this world and ended up pursuing it in education with a B.A. in Communications & Graphic Design and eventually an MFA in Graphic Design. Although I worked in the profession in-house and freelance, my heart was in academics so I ventured into the world of a design professor for more than 2 decades. Design in some capacity has defined my entire life and I share my skills with unique visual perspective for your project.
Some professors balance a full-time design profession with the demands of academics. During my 20+ year career as a professor, I wanted to commit my energy to my craft and my students. I still teach part time and can be your coach or design assistant after your site is published.
In 2018, I left that full time career as a professor to pursue other avenues including WEB DESIGN primarily. I love the wix platform and the tools it has for all types of businesses.
The Globetripping website combines many of my interests with photography, writing, and experiencing other places and cultures. It is a magazine blog format that I am passionate about, but sometimes passion projects have to be on the back burner.
A BEFORE & AFTER OVERVIEW
My early career in graphic design was when PRINT production was the primary object for brand and business communication before the current digital media landscape. Honed over many years, I use my visual skills in typography, color, and visual hierarchy understanding to emphasize a positive user experience in web design projects.
Organizing information, creating visually appealing content that is also legible for your clients, and understanding the user experience makes me a step above other options including a.i. and freelance portals like upwork/fiverr.
Back in the day, I worked on high page count print catalogs and more customized smaller boutique gallery books, newsletters, and even a culinary magazine. Layouts are my jam.
One of my Globetripping projects was so voluminous I decided to turn it into a magazine that included all of my own photography, writing, and design. This documented my experience from my designer perspective of a few weeks in Copenhagen.
Most people want to know the cost of the design service before making a decision. Each project is unique and most projects could have a scale of work deliverables for you to choose within your budget. If you have paid someone else a large amount in your eyes for your existing website and you are dissatisfied with it, let's work together to revise that within a reasonable budget and timeframe.
